Day 54 Life's Call

Life. What is it? Where does it come from? What is it for?

Life is all about questions. Every day we can go out and ask her questions and listen to her replies. Or we can stop looking and listening and become comfortable in our small world, one which we have come to know very well.

Life beckons and calls to us each and every day,

“Come and find me. I have something unique for you today that you will never be offered again, for I only offer things which are new each and every day. Don’t miss out on discovering more about your life and the life of this incredibly complex and wonderful world you live within.

Come, knock at my door and as I open it to you, be amazed by today’s gift of grace, wonder and beauty. Come and embrace me. Come and listen to the beat of my heart. Come and hear and see yourself reflected through me and in me.

See the face of life and learn her contours and see as she does and hear as she does.

There are wonders to behold to be shared and shown to you and no others.”

What a marvellous thought that is, that Life loves you so much that she longs to share her heart and home with you.

It is your choice to either welcome her into the home of your heart or turn her away. But if you do, you will be turning away meaning and purpose, truth, peace and beauty. What a loss to be so rich that you no longer have space in your heart and world for such luxuries.

Only the poor can truly embrace these things, for in their poverty they can eat at her table and rejoice at the meal she has served them up today.

So, if you cannot find life, become poor in spirit, for then you will surely find her. Blessed indeed are the poor in spirit.
